Unprofessional Cowboys
Gary’s criticism of Set, Lighting and Sound has made it to the number 2 spot on Google already, which is as much as we can really hope for. Interestingly, my little comment (“Set, Lighting and Sound – Avoid!”) has made it to fourth. I’m not entirely convinced that it’ll stay there, but at least for the next few weeks, anyone doing a background check on the unproffessional cowboys will get the warning they deserve.
We were discussing this at the BBQ on Sunday (which is where people told me I was in fourth spot), and plotting to fill all the top result spots by each writing a piece on the cowboys and then everyone has a big linking fest to get them all up the results list. Adam then mentioned that he was looking for a case study on abuse of pageranking or where pageranking didn’t work properly, but I’m wondering whether this would count. After all, there only appears to be three (non-DramSoc) related mentions of SET on the entire intarweb, so if that increases to about eight, with five of those being criticisms, it would only be fair that the results are dominated by those criticisms. Or would it? Discuss.
