I think the last one has more to do with can't turn left/right at the junctions and where it is easier to turn... Too many night bus shifts, and scaring Andy driving about taught me that!!

I've found another strange one. If I ask how to get to the union from my flat it gives me one route, and if I ask how to get to my flat from the union it gives me a different route which is a mile longer. And there are no one way streets on either of the routes so that can't be a reason

Aha, I've found another wierd one

Check the distance between the two points.

Nia, you're more than welcome to be the most frequent commenter on my weblog - but if you could comment more often than the spammers, I'd be even more impressed!

For all the other stuff I've tried, it's worked fine (though it doesn't seem to know about side streets yet), but this one particular route that went round at work was too good an opportunity to miss.

In it's defense if you try to find the route from my flat to my parents house (a good 360 miles) it's the only route finding software I've seen that directs you to go the way I've always driven it.

That said, it does think my current flat is about 20m away from where it actually is. For a "Beta" it isn't bad - it knows where a small village in Cumbria is at least

To try and retain the position of "person who comments most often on Andy's weblog"....

It seems to have hard wired that routes from kensington to sw london start off westwards on the a4. sw7 to sw17 (my old old address) seems to be similar.

I am more amused though by their declaration that (correctly mapped) sw7 to se11 (my old address) will take 7mins. This is an average of 33mph which is not even legal let alone likely to be possible in central London.

Best of all though is that (near my current address) they've exchanged Wood Green and Wordford tube station names.
