I’ve got a cycle map for Putney Bridge to Oxford that I’m planning to that do sometime. It’s 90 mile so I want to do it some nice sunny Saturday.

Oddly enough I’m not sure I’m doing tour either. I’ve got enough excuses to use power tools at home. I might turn up for one of the weekends. I can’t decide

Thames path: I’ve got as far as Windsor, so I’ve passed my target of reaching the M25. I’ve kind of called it quits now – the further from Putney I get, the more time is being spent on getting to and from the start and finish of each day’s walk. And looking at the gaps between train stations, it’s starting to get a bit awkward. I’m thinking about buying a bike, and that way I can cover more ground and do less faffing on the trains.

Tour: no, not this year. I’m going to do the Pennine Way with Ant at the end of July instead.

Kinda the over-zealous opposite to my photo of sign saying “historic monument” beside a cow munching on a pile of rubbish (outside temple of national importance).

I ment to reply to your post on my blog but I’ve signed out of my email and am too lazy to sign back in so shall post here. Am still enjoying War and Peace but have had to give it a rest due to eyes tired from reading (small small print) in dark rooms (lots of indian restaurants are really really dark, like the middling-slightly posher ones). Yeah, little historic interlude (well, still relevant to the plot) about Napoleoic wars is interesting. Very partial, and me knowing nothing about the N wars, I just have to take his word for it. I quite like the general theme he tries to put across though that forming history is out
of the hands of individuals.

Are you still doing the thames path? How far have you got? Are you touring this year?
